【特展內容 Exhibition Details】 

「生而為人，存在的意義究竟是什麼？」

這是活在這世間最常被討論的一個問題，從過去的藝術創作經驗中，藝術家自我與藝術 的對話產程出了對於生命屬於自己的看法，比起人們活著所追求的功成名就，她認為所 有與內心的對話與這社會的衝突更能體現出人們存在在世最有力的證據。我們所經歷 過的負面情緒如憂鬱或焦慮，面對生命中如友情，愛情與死亡的情緒感受才是身為人類 最與眾不同的地方，因為我們是有感情的。

這次選擇的作品主要在這些情緒與藝術家個人的生命經歷所產生的交織，他如何以他 的觀點與感受呈現出生命的不同時刻。以哲學的角度同時切入主題的探討何為人，不僅 僅只生物學上的身為人類存在與這世界，而是因為人們存在的本身所產生出的不同生 命歷練。藝術家透過畫作去探討生命的意義，又或者說生命本身並沒有意義，而是透過 不一樣的經歷去替生命畫上屬於他自己的色彩，如同這宇宙萬物一般，我們不帶有任何 目的地來到這世界，但由於不同物種的出現，我們替大自然增加了屬於他的價值，我們 互相成就彼此，儘管我們都只是宇宙中微不足道的塵埃，但我們短暫綻放過，我們燃燒 生命的過程，就替存在本身賦予了獨一無二的意義。 

希望以此展覽使人們產生自己與內心的對話，什麼時候我們真的感受到我們活著，什麼 時候理解到自己作為人類存在，然後呢？

“To be born human, what is the meaning of existence?”

This is the commonality to be discussed. In the past, art created an experience, the conversation between the artist herself and the art allowed her to express her thoughts about life. Rather than people pursuing success and winning recognition, she imagines all the possibilities in her mind and the conflict within society to be the strongest proof of existing. We experience a plethora of emotions like depression or anxiety, and the feeling of friendship, companionship, or death. It is those reasons that make humans different when we are compared to others.

The selection of the works is mainly the intersection of the emotion and artist’s personal experience, and how she showcases her thoughts and feelings of different moments in life. Using philosophical perspective to discuss the topic of being human. It’s not the biology of being human nor human existence, it’s the different life histories to bring forth humanity’s meaning. Artists use paintings to explore the meaning of life, so, we cannot say life has no meaning. We have been through different experiences to color life. It’s like this universe, we came here with no purpose, but because of the emergence of different species, we added value to nature and, in doing so, we valued each other. Even though we are all a small droplet in the universe, because we have bloomed out, the process of us finding truth in our lives, we give existence its meaning.
