“Embrace the ocean, appreciate the ocean, and sustain the ocean”—these are the ideals and inclinations as well as goals of the NMMST. The opening of the Banyan House and the Chao-Jing Aquaculture Station is but a small step toward these ideals. Many more works are underway to reach these ideals, especially the grand opening of the main exhibition hall.

Another ideal of the NMMST is the development of a marine educational and recreational park. This park will integrate NMMST’s surrounding areas (Bisha Fishing Port, Badouzi Fishing Port, fishing villages, and coastal parks) and relevant institutions (Fisheries Administration, Keelung City Hall, fisheries associations, and National Taiwan Ocean University) to form a unique marine educational and recreational veranda.

Our dream shall be our best motive, and we will work together to reach that dream.
